    GDS

    What is a GDS?

A GDS is a computerized network that connects travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, car rental companies etc.) with travel agencies and online travel agencies (OTAs).

    How it is functioning?

It acts as an intermediary, allowing travel agents to access and book a wide variety of travel products, including flights, hotels, car rentals and other travel services.

    How does it work?

Airlines, hotels, and other travel providers feed their inventory and pricing data into the GDS network. Travel agencies then use the GDS to search for and book available options, and the GDS facilitates the transaction between the agency and the supplier.
