NDC

NDC (New Distribution Capability) is a travel industry initiative launched by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to enhance how airlines distribute content through third parties. Traditionally, air ticket booking information was shared via legacy GDS (Global Distribution System) protocols, which allowed only limited fare and ancillary data. NDC changes that by using modern XML-based APIs that give airlines more control over their offerings.

NDC allows airlines to distribute rich content—such as branded fares, baggage rules, seat selections, and personalized offers—directly to travel agencies and platforms.
