Approval Workflow

Definition:

An approval workflow allows corporate travel bookings to go through a standard process of reviewing, approving or moving to someone higher up in the company, depending on the rules set.

How Platforms Use Today:

• Domestic flights costing up to ₹20,000 are automatically approved without having to wait for management approval.
• When a reservation surpasses the set limit or doesn’t comply with the rules, it is referred to a manager or a member of the finance team.
• If the team does not get an answer in a set time, the workflow assigns the request to a more senior person.
• Every action is added to an audit trail so that compliance can be ensured and later checked.
